When tasked to design a single-room dwelling that could function as a weekend getaway destination, the aim was to elevate what is usually seen as a humble dwelling. The Barn.
Each of the units consist of a singular use space comprising of bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchen areas – all harmoniously working together through the use of dividing elements.
Suidster, meaning Southern Star, lends itself to the orientation of North, East, South and West.
Looking to the surrounding landscape for the colour palette inspiration, hues of ambers, plums and rust were inspired by the area’s rock formations while fresh green tones flows in from the flora outside.
