Perched high up on a mountain with the main objective with the interior design of this home was not to distract from the unparalleled views over the ocean below. Nature played a big role in selecting materials, colours and textures as it needed to compliment each other.
The large glass windows and doors in a sense become artwork frames, framing the view one sees through it. A muted and natural colour scheme is evident throughout the home and the layering of shades from the same colour creates a calmness within the rooms.
Custom commissioned artwork by top artists including Dale Lawrence, Gabby Raaff and Rosie Mudge are displayed in a gallery-like and curated manner. These pieces create focal points and pause moments where guests can breathe and take it all in.
The deliberate absence of wall colour makes the space blend into the horizon and also places all the attention on the interior itself and the views outside.
