STIL. Truly a space to unwind, refresh and rejuvenate. The architecture, interior design and decor of this dwelling was completely designed by Hendre Bloem Interior Design and is inspired by Cape Dutch details to create a sense of nostalgia.
Klompie bricks, bag bricked walls and raw concrete finishes gives the space a very textural emphasis. Contrast that with the sleek, lightweight, laser cut screens, precise joinery details and the exceptionally well thought through lighting design, the home transforms and changes as the time of day progresses.
Custom designed steel framed, floor to ceiling doors and windows give a sense of airiness and adds a playful element through the way they open and operate. Masculine features and straight lines are softened through the use of rounded walls, curved edges and circular objects.
Artwork and sculptures are displayed in a curated manner to highlight architectural and design details while staying true to their own story.
